THEMATIC FOCUS AREAS

Three Thematic Focus Areas

THEMATIC FOCUS AREAS - ONE

Maternal and Child Health

To achieve this organisational goal of improving maternal and child health, we have a five-prong approach which includes the following

This will include comprehensive support and care for vulnerable women, especially who give birth as a result of abuse whilst ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for both mother and children

This will be achieved through our free health camps and mobile clinics that will target the most underserved and vulnerable populations.
To ensure that this is achieved, we will objectively partner with local clinics and hospitals to provide prenatal, post-natal, and mental healthcare for women as well as paediatric care for children. We will also ensure comprehensive Counselling for women dealing with the emotional aftermath of an abuse and for children with developmental challenges.
As an organisation, we lay a lot of emphasis on building the capacity of the health force to deliver desired health outcomes in the maternal and child health space, and some of the significant aspects will be training and upscaling of capacities for traditional birth attendants, amongst others.
We understand that for the whole process of health delivery to be very effective, we hope to facilitate the supply, make available, and ensure distribution of essential medicines and vitamins, long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets, and other needed medical supplies to the populations.

THEMATIC FOCUS AREAS - TWO

Empowerment

Our goal is to empower our communities to be financially self-reliant and equipped to support our families navigate our current economic realities. Under our empowerment approach, we have a two-prong strategy which includes:

These will include workshops, management courses on finance, budgeting, and savings for community women. We will also have workshops for parents and caregivers of children with special needs and intellectual disabilities. We hope to hold vocational training and attract/facilitate fund disbursement to beneficiaries.

We will implement a program focusing on mental, physical, and emotional development of children born into vulnerable situations and create public awareness, facilitate campaigns, seminars, and research on the need and importance of effective early childhood programming.

THEMATIC FOCUS AREAS - THREE

Intellectual Development Disability & Autism Response/Interventions

Our goal is to create awareness, build capacity, advocate for change in Intellectual development disability and Autism response while facilitating support for persons with and families affected by Intellectual development disability and autism. We have a four-prong approach, which includes the following :

Available Data and information suggest that we can do more by creating more awareness on Intellectual development disability and  Autism and its dimensions, and we hope to change the narrative.
We will review available Data/Information/laws on Intellectual development disability and  Autism and champion its modification to effectively take care of its emerging approaches.
Because we believe in building capacities, we will vigorously pursue a process that will ensure that we build capacities across the board to ensure that we transform our response to Intellectual development disability and  Autism.

We will facilitate support for families and children born with different anomalies, autism, and Intellectual development disability.
